Our Ph.D. Student – Rajat Shinde received the “IEEE GRSS Excellence in Technical Communication Student Prize Award” – Third Place in the IEEE-GRSS 3MT competition. 3MT competition got recognition due to its unique structure where the participants must present their thesis in under 3 minutes. This competition was organized during the International Geosciences and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS 2022) held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Rajat presented a part of his Ph.D. thesis under the title – “Why Scan more!” covering the Neural Sparse Modeling process for deep learning and compressive sensing based 3-D LiDAR reconstruction. Rajat is thankful to the group in charge Prof. Surya Durbha, for his constant motivation throughout the Ph.D. thesis.
