Our group receives the “Best Lightning Talk Award” at the SMCDC22

A team of our Ph.D. students – Rajat Shinde and Pratyush Talreja, under the guidance of our group in charge, Prof. Surya Durbha, received the Best Lightning Talk Award at the 5th Annual Smoky Mountains Computational Sciences Data Challenge (SMCDC22) organized by Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), US. This challenge is organized under the Smoky Mountains Computational Sciences and Engineering conference. Our Ph.D. Student receives “IEEE GRSS Excellence in Technical Communication Student Prize Award” at the IGARSS 2022

Our Ph.D. Student – Rajat Shinde received the “IEEE GRSS Excellence in Technical Communication Student Prize Award” – Third Place in the IEEE-GRSS 3MT competition. 3MT competition got recognition due to its unique structure where the participants must present their thesis in under 3 minutes. This competition was organized during the International Geosciences and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS 2022) held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Plenary Talk Chair: UAV Concepts and Innovations in UASG 2019

Dr. Surya S Durbha, our group leader was invited to be a chair for the plenary talk on the theme UAV Concepts and Innovations at the 1st International Conference On Unmanned Aerial System in Geomatics – 2019. The conference was organised in cooperation with the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS). An Invited Lecture on “Semantics Enabled Framework for Mining Large Remote Sensing Data Archives” by Dr. Surya Durbha, Associate Professor, CSRE, IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai was organised by ISG-AC during November 10, 2017 at Space Applications Centre, ISRO and it was well received by ISG members and scientists at SAC.
