Critical Infrastructure Protection

Critical Infrastructure constitutes the sectors of the society whose assets, systems, components and, networks, while in a situation of destruction, irrespective of their physical or virtual existence could cause devastating effects on one or all of the national economy, security and well-being of the society. The Critical Infrastructure Protection involves the study and analysis of methods, models and techniques so as to avoid or reduce (to the best extent) the consequences of the destruction.

In our lab, the active research in this domain involves the development and study of models, for instance, the Petrinet Model to actively understand the importance of vital infrastructure of the nation.
